Nintendo Eyes on Apple?

Nintendo Eyes on Apple
Nintendo rules the handheld market today. Competitors like Microsoft and Sony are unable to slow down Nintendo’s growing up graph in handheld market.
On the other hand gaming on the superb iPhone and recently launched iPad provides excellence and full satisfaction to the gamer. This thing has made an negative effect on Nintendo sales in handheld market. Nintendo recently reported a dip in profits for the first time in six years, and according to the Times Online, president Satoru Iwata sees Apple as the next target on the horizon. Its make sense that company is looking for its first fight.
Still, Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime has said that he doesn’t see Apple’s platforms as competing – in particular – with the Nintendo DS handheld. Fils-Aime says that sales of the DS haven’t been impacted by Apple’s sales, and that he feels that the two exist in separate spaces. Whatever the circumstances, Nintendo is trying to move ahead. The company has already announced the Nintendo 3DS, a DS handheld capable of glasses-free 3D.
Nintendo may be going ahead in the sales numbers war, but with both Microsoft and Sony debuting their forays into motion-based gaming this year – as well as the quality of software and technological features the PS3 and 360 can host that the Wii can’t. Microsoft has plans for the Project Natal and Sony’s Motion Controller is on its way. It looks like Nintendo will be fighting a multi-front war for the conceivable future.
