Sandra Bullock has filed for divorce from husband Jesse James, she tells People in an exclusive interview and also has adopted an infant boy, Louis Bardo Bullock, whom she and James brought home in January and named after Louis Armstrong.

That process was started years ago, said Bullock, and the couple intended to keep Louis’ adoption to themselves — close friends and family only — until after the Academy Awards, which were March 7. Louis was born in New Orleans.
