Saw 3D, also known as Saw VII, is an upcoming 3D horror film directed by Kevin Greutert, written by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, and starring Tobin Bell, Costas Mandylor, Cary Elwes, Betsy Russell and Sean Patrick Flannery. It is the seventh and final installment of the Saw film series, and the only one shot in 3D.

An eighth installment was planned, but the decrease in box office numbers for Saw VI has led to Saw 3D being the final film in the series, and the plot concept for Saw VIII being incorporated into Saw 3D. Saw V director David Hackl was to direct the film, but two weeks before filming Lionsgate announced that Greutert, who directed the sixth film, would direct. Principal photography took place in Toronto from February to April 2010 and was filmed with the SI-3D digital camera system, as opposed to shooting with traditional cameras and later transferring to 3D during post-production. It was originally scheduled to be released on October 22, 2010, but was pushed back a week to October 29, 2010.

Clash of the Titans Review

Review by Game Spot 4.5/10 (Poor)

Clash of the Titans is a predictable hack-and-slash adventure that is exactly the type of game that gives movie tie-ins a bad reputation.

The Good

Mostly faithful film story adaptation
Boss fights provide much needed gameplay variety.

The Bad

Shallow, repetitive hack-and-slash gameplay
Laborious item collection
Wooden voice acting
Pointless weapon upgrade system
Constant wrestling with finicky camera controls.

Like the miles of mire that play backdrop to Perseus’ quest to overthrow the rulers of Olympus, Clash of the Titans is a dull and haggard experience. A rich tapestry of myth is pushed aside to make room for repetitious bloodletting, laborious item collection, and overcomplicated and unrewarding weapon upgrades. The result is a game punished by its own unpruned ideas that quickly devolves into familiar but uninspired hack-and-slash gameplay. This is an uphill slog and another poor game that attempts to ride the leather loincloth coattails of its original source.

As soon as I heard that they were remaking Clash of the Titans, I knew there’d be a videogame. Obviously. So I booked a flight to South America, chartered a boat up the Amazon and tracked down the Tagaeri, a remote tribe that has had virtually no contact with the modern world. I made a bet with them, to see what they thought the Clash of the Titans videogame would be like. They said, “Probably another mediocre God of War rip-off, with giant boss monsters and probably a few quick-time events”.

Well, looks like I owe the Tagaeri a family-sized bag of Haribo and the Friends DVD boxset. Clash of the Titans really is that predictable. Hemmed in by both the movie and Greek mythology itself, realistically there’s a limit to how imaginative developer Game Republic could be under the circumstances, but that’s no excuse for missing so many easy targets.

Surprise, surprise, Clash of the Titans is an awful movie-turned-videogame. While some games like this year’s surprising Toy Story 3 buck this trend, this generic and uninspired game proves that crappy license titles are, sadly, a fact of life. Apparently this is the will of the gods.

Clash of the Titans follows the plot of the film…sort of. It still tells the story of Perseus, a demigod, and his quest to take on the gods of Olympus in an effort to save a local kingdom. Familiar scenes and characters from the film appear in the game, but these are intertwined with a series of events that feel laughably shoe-horned into the game. From quests that force Perseus to gather a fish to feed his companion, to levels that consist of killing more enemies than the guards in an effort to “prove” yourself to them (also read: we needed to extend this game so here’s a filler level), the game is full with a host of stupid stages that serve no narrative purpose.

The way the quests are given is also perplexing. The game is primarily a third-person hack and slash, but you talk to other characters to get quests from them.

Resident Evil Revelations and Super Street Fighter IV for 3DS May Not Make Launch

Nintendo has not revealed the information about many games that are going to launch in 3DS. The news is out about two games from the publisher Capcom that will not be launching this fiscal year. Resident Evil Revelations and Super Street Fighter IV 3D edition are the games in work for 3DS till now. But company representatives said that these games are not included in its sales targets for the current fiscal year.

From this statement it clears that capcom games will not launch along with the 3DS current fiscal year.

Here is the information about both Capcom games.

Resident Evil Revelations

Resident Evil: Revelations, known as Biohazard: Revelations in Japan, is an upcoming video game announced by Capcom for the Nintendo 3DS at E3 2010. The game uses the internally developed MT Framework engine also utilized in Resident Evil 5, and, according to Keiji Inafune, will be a completely original entry in the series. The trailer that was released showed Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine talking to an unidentified prisoner on a large ship.

Super Street Fighter IV

At E32010, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition was announced for the upcoming console, Nintendo 3DS. It will take advantage of it’s features such as autostereoscopic 3D and improved wireless features, such as Wi-Fi. In an interview with Famitsu, Yoshinori Ono stated that “The gameplay will be the same as Super Street Fighter IV”. Ono hopes that they can put all the gameplay modes from the console release on the game, plus original content, and they are looking to the possibility of including arranged costumes. Famitsu stated that all the 35 console characters, plus all the systems, will be on the 3DS release. The magazine also listed the game as currently 10% complete.

Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Gets 2 New Multiplayer Characters

In the team of deadly killers of Assassins Creed Brotherhood two more characters are added. One of them is an armed soldier carrying a sword (my favorite weapon) and the other one is a tubby guy with beard holding a hammer. The image above was posted on Kotaku

However these characters are will not be included in the game package. Gamers will have to buy them by pre-ordering. The multiplayer beta sans Blacksmith and Soldier will be launching in September.

Mean while you can watch one of the best multiplayer trailer out yet of Assassins Creed Brotherhood.

Green Lantern Wallpapers and Posters

Green Lantern posters are out as a treat specially for the people that were not able to attend the Comic-Con panel of Green Lantern. Four posters are revealed including Mark Strong as Sinestro, the purple-skinned and mustached alien mentor to Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

In the posters characters are shown of Reynolds as Hal, Blake Lively as love interest Carol Ferris and Peter Sarsgaard as the big brained Hector Hammond.

Big Brained Hector Hammong is one of the main villains of Green Lantern. And OAS is providing the exclusive wallpapers made by combining those posters.

Wiki Says: Green Lantern is an upcoming superhero film based on the comic book of the same name appearing in DC Comics. The film will star Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, with Martin Campbell directing a script by Greg Berlanti and comic book writers Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim, which was subsequently rewritten by Michael Goldenberg. Green Lantern is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2011.
