Matthew Vaugh will direct X-Men: First Class Sequel

20th Century Fox has recently signed Matthew Vaugh again to direct the sequel to X-Men: First Class. The script will be penned by Simon Kinberg. Bryan Singer will again produce the sequel to most popular mutant movie. It’s making me exciting as i think about this upcoming movie, what better things we’ll watch this time as the budget is bigger and also crew has more time then before.
I hope to see the same star cast as X-Men: First class because previously Matthew Vaugh shared his thoughts about the sequel. He said that there will be only one new character in the sequel that means there are 99% chances to see the same cast back in action.

The Hunger Games – Exclusives

Most anticipated and awaited movie of this year till now is The Hunger Games that will be hitting the theaters on March 23, 2012. Movies is a science fiction action drama directed by Gary Ross and based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins. Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth are in the cast followed by Jennifer Lawrence. Here is an exclusive image of the movie revealed on IGN today.

This is the first movie of upcoming trilogy. Next movie Catching Fire is set to be released on 22, November, 2013. Simon Beaufoy has been chosen to adapt the second novel for screen. This guy is the screenwriter of movies like Slumdog Millionaire and 127 hours.

Gary Oldman will play the villain in ‘Motor City’

Gary Oldman the Commissioner Gordon of Batman’s Gotham city will be playing the role of a bad guy in a Dark Castle revenge thriller being directed by Albert Hughes. Movie will be called Motor City. Along with Gary Oldman, Dominic Cooper and Amber Heard will be playing their fair parts in the movie. Script is penned by Chad St. john. Joel Silver and Andrew Rona are producing. Douglas Urbanski and Ethan Erwin are executive producers.
Albert Hughes previously co-directed the movies like From Hell (2001) and The Book of Eli (2010).
Talking about Gary Oldman, he has also nominated in this year’s Academy Awards for his work in “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” as a leading actor. He must be happy about it these days.

John Hawkes will be in Jackie Brown’s Prequel

Jackie Brown was written for the screen and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Actually the story was adapted from Elmore Leonard’s novel. Jackie Brown was nominated for Academy Awards and won 6 other different awards. Now John Hawkes has signed on to star in ‘Switch,’ that will be a prequel to Jackie Brown.
Now, the thing is ‘Switch’ will be written and directed by Dan Schechter. Tarantino will not be involved in this project, says Variety.
John Hawkes and Yasiin Bey will be playing younger versions of Robert De Niro and Samuel L. Jackson’s respective characters from the Jackie Brown. Set 15 years before the events in “Jackie Brown,” story follows career criminals Ordell and Louis as they team up to kidnap Mickey Dawson, the wife of a corrupt Detroit real estate developer. When the husband refuses to pay the ransom for his wife’s return, the ex-cons are forced to re-conceive their plan, and the angry housewife uses the duo to get her revenge.
Bey has also appeared in Dexter TV series and previously seen in The Italian Job. On the other side Dan Schechter’s comedy named Supporting Characters is also releasing this year.
Guess we will miss the spark that Quentin Tarantino puts in his movies, because he is not involved .

Skyfall : First official Image Revealed

Very first official image of upcoming James Bond movie called Skyfall is revealed today on internet. This shot is from a scene set in Shanghai. Movie is directed by Academy Award Winner Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig, who returns for his third film as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007.
Cast follows like this after Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Smith, Javier Bardem, Helen McCrory and of course Judi Dench as M.
This new James Bond Adventure will be hitting theaters on 26 October 2012 (UK) and 9 November 2012 (USA).

Screen Gems has released the very first poster and art work from Paul W.S. Anderson‘s Resident Evil: Retribution. This is the fifth installment of Resident Evil post-apocalyptic series. This time, there is a surprise for the series fans, apart from the main character Alice (Milla Jovovich), Michelle Rodriguez and Colin Salmon are making a return. These both were appeared in the first Resident Evil (2002) movie. Colin Salmon was the chief of investigation and rescue team. Oded Fehr is also returning who was died in a blast while enjoying his last smoke in the Extinction part. Now i’m wondering how these people will be shown alive as they were shown dead or beaten by zombies in previous installments. One thing could be that Umbrella corporation has made clones of these people. But why? the answer will only be reveled on 14 September 2012.
