The comedy-drama by HBO named Divorce started in 2016 and now HBO has renewed the series for six-episode Season 3. The series is starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Thomas Haden Church and created by Sharon Horgan.
Usually, some series are renewed after one or two months of airing its current season but it took eight months for Divorce to renew the show for its third season.
There’s another strange thing about this show. The first Season was having 10 episodes, the second season eight episodes and the third season will have only six episodes. I wonder if this might the last season of the show.
Deadline confirmed that the show’s regular cast member Becki Newton will also be seen in Season 3. Production of the show’s third season will begin in early 2019.
Writer Liz Tuccillo will be working on the script of forthcoming episodes. Tuccillo also replaced Jenny Bricks in Season 2.
Cast members will include series regulars Molly Shannon, Talia Balsam, Tracy Letts, Sterling Jerins, Charlie Kilgore and more.
HBO president of programming Casey Bloys revealed the following to Deadline.
“We have a writers room going, scripts are being written. If they are in good shape, we will move forward, but Sarah Jessica and everybody wanted to feel good about where we are going.”
Sarah Jessica Parker will be seen this year’s movie called Here and How. The film is a musical drama in which she is playing the character of Vivienne.
