The hearing at the court regarding 14-year-old Collin’s custody was on December 4. The teenager’s father Jon Gosselin was present at the hearing but his mother Kate Gosselin was not.
So after not appearing at court, Kate lost the complete custody of her son. However, Kate was not the only person missing at the hearing. Her lawyer also didn’t show up.
US Weekly revealed that Jon won sole physical and legal custody of Collin while all other matters were moved to a future court date.
We don’t know what could be the reason for Kate regarding not showing up at the court. But it must be something extremely important because a day earlier she requested the court to postpone the hearing. But her request was denied.
Previously both of them were having the shared custody of their children. But not after December 4. The reason behind this could be the higher intelligence of Collin than his mother Kate.
As some source close to Jon revealed following to US Weekly.
Collin is very intelligent. He was always questioning Kate and talking back. Kate doesn’t like that. They work closely with Jon and really do care about Collin.
Because of this reason, Jon filled for full legal and physical custody of Collin to the court and ultimately he got it this on December 4th.
Jon(41) and Kate(43) were married for a decade but in 2009, the couple went on their separate ways. The couple shares eight children together. Their names are Collin, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden and now 18-year-old twins Cara and Mady.
On November 26, Jon shared an image on Instagram in which Collin was included. The Insta post was regarding finding a Christmas tree.
