Margot Robbie entered the show, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and received an awkward handshake by Jimmy Fallon. And the way they both laughed afterward is worth watching. It’ll literally make your day to see them like that.
Afterward, the first thing Fallon and Robbie discussed is the insanely long title of her new Harley Quinn movie. Jimmy said he liked it but it’s quite a mouthful.
The title is Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). And Margot explained that it’s not a serious movie so we thought the title should reflect that.
She added, “Birds of Prey makes it sound very serious, and that’s kind of like Harley Quinn adding her like, Hey don’t worry I’m in this too.”
Margot Robbie confirmed that filming will begin next year.
Later on, she revealed that she loves a long title. And she actually said that when they were thinking about the title. She was like, you know what’s a great title? Then she named a movie The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of Window and Disappeared.
About this title and movie, she said the following.
Long Title, but I love it. It’s a great movie as well, you should watch it.
Here’s the video segment from the show.
The other cast members of the movie are Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, and Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya. Ewan McGregor is playing a villain’s role as Gotham crime lord Black Mask.
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will hit the theaters on February 7, 2020.
